About
What is Yperea?
Yperea is conscious space for collective prayer and meditation. It’s a sacred space where people gather in real time with shared intention: to welcome birth, support healing, accompany death, pray for peace, or sit together in silence.
What is the time screen?
By tapping on the Time button on the top of the Home screen, a visual calendar appears displaying the natural time of the planet. The seasonal, Lunar and Daylight phases are clearly shown and the time remaining until the next New moon, Full moon, Solstice or Equinox are also displayed. By dialling the moon around the circular calendar the date can be moved into the future or the past, where the circles of that day are displayed on the top of the screen. There is also a compass incorporated in the Timepeace.
Circles
How do I create a circle?
Open the app and go to Circles. Tap the add control to start a new circle, choose the date and time, and add a title or intention if you like. When you are ready, invite people from your contacts or share the circle link. You can also host an open circle that others can discover on the map.
Why do I need to allow the camera?
Yperea uses your camera to place the circle in your own surroundings. The avatars of the others appear in your room, around you, as if you were sitting together.
Will people see through my camera?
No. No one can see through your camera but you. Others see only your avatar, never you or your room.
When can I enter a circle?
You can enter a circle 10 minutes before it begins, so you can arrive, settle and take your seat. You can also join after it has started.
How long can I stay?
You can stay as long as you want. A closing bell marks the end of the shared circle, but you’re welcome to stay on afterwards. You can also leave and come back at any time during the circle.
Can people hear me?
People can hear you only when your microphone is on. In most circles, the host invites participants to open their microphones. Until then, you listen in silence. When your microphone is working, the icon turns white and you’ll see ripples moving on your avatar’s profile picture. You never need to speak, and silence is always welcome.
For hosts
Can I edit a circle?
Yes. You can edit the details of your circle at any time.
How do I know my mic is on and people can hear me?
To turn on your microphone, tap the ••• at the top of the circle screen. When it’s working, the mic icon turns white, you’ll see ripples moving on your avatar’s profile picture, and the circles under your avatar temporarily turn to squares as you speak.
Can participants speak in my circle?
Participants can speak only if you invite them. By tapping the ••• icon top right corner of the AR screen, you can invite participants to open their microphones. If you don’t, they cannot speak, and the circle stays in listening and silence.
Can I add music to the circle?
Yes. You can play music from another device near your phone, sing, chant or play an instrument yourself. The sound settings can also be controlled on the AR screen.
Where did the default images for the circles come from?
The images we use as placeholders for the circles are specially commissioned works from multi-media Artist Nicholas Dallwitz. As Florigenix on Instagram he collaborates with Ai to create magical images and videos.
Troubleshooting
Audio is not working. What are likely reasons?
Check that your microphone is unmuted in the circle (the mic icon should show you as live when you intend to speak). On your phone, confirm Yperea has microphone permission in system settings.
Switching to another app and back can mute the mic—toggle mute off again after returning. Wired headphones sometimes have their own mute switch; Bluetooth headsets can route audio oddly until you reconnect. If you are guiding with music from a laptop, speak close to the mic or use a headset mic so others can hear you clearly.
In hosted circles the host may control who can speak; if you still hear nothing, leave and rejoin once, or ask the host to check that your mic is enabled for the group.
